College Acceptances

Congratulations to Ashleigh Madden for her acceptance into The University of Maine and Cally Randall for her acceptance into University College of Bangor.

 

Intramural Volleyball playoffs begin Tuesday the 18th after school with
every team in action. Check out the board outside of the gymnasium for more
information.

A reminder that all baseball paperwork must be turned into Coach Utterback
before 8 and 2 and tryouts begin.

Virtual Fair

On March 19, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. To 4:00 p.m. Old Town High School students
will have the opportunity to participate in a Virtual Fair focused upon
occupational, technical, and associate degree programs. If you would like
to participate, please sign up in the Student Services offices as soon as
possible. Parents are also welcome to participate! Please call 827-3910 x
309 for more information.

Junior/Senior League Baseball/Softball

There are flyers in the athletic(Mr Thibodeau's) office for Junior and
Senior league baseball and softball. Sign ups are on Thursday March 20th and
Thursday March 27th at the Old Town Union hall on South Main Street.
Junior/Senior league softball/baseball is for ages 13 to 17. Please bring a
copy of your birth certificates.

New Scholarships

MEDEA SCHOLARSHIP:

Maine Driver Education Association (2) $500.00 for students who have taken drivers education from a MEDEA instructor.

Army ROTC Scholarships. These scholarships pay 100% of tuition with a monthly stipend starting at $350 a month and an annual book allowance of $1,200.Should you already have a four year scholarship, they can put this scholarship toward their room and board. DOWNEAST ENERGY & BUILDING SUPPLY SCHOLARSHIP:

Downeast Energy & Building Supply will award scholarships to high school seniors, graduates planning to enroll or students already enrolled full-time at approved secondary vocational technical institutes for the heating or building trades. Each scholarship will be a maximum of $1,000 per academic year.

Honors Diploma students

Honors Diploma students, listen up! Mr. Doty left a note for each of you in
the guidance office; please stop by as soon as possible to pick yours up.
This includes information about each of the three upcoming seminars, and a
permission slip for Thursday's bus. If you've already turned in a slip for
this Thursday's seminar, you're guaranteed a spot. We have 9 remaining
seats at the F. Sherwood Rowland seminar; first-come, first-served.
