District Technology PD and Curriculum Minutes

Participants:  Amy Ketch, Debbie Gilman, Matt Cyr, David Walker, John Keane, and Judy Pusey

 

  1. Developing a task to measure proficiency on our Level I Technology Standards to present to staff at the beginning of next year-David Walker shared the tasks developed and used by SAD 41.  Judy and Matt will work on the development of a task assessment/checklist that can be sent out with a survey to assess staff needs/interests for the Technology Academy to remind instructional and administrative staff that they will need to show proficiency of these standards during the 2007-2008 school year.  This task assessment/checklist will be used by the Technology Integrator in each school to measure proficiencies of all instructional staff on the Level I Technology Standards by the end of 2007-2008.

 

  1. Planning for the Technology Academy that will be held on Aug. 23, 2007 from 8-2:00. The results of the survey will be used to plan the Technology Academy at our June 14th meeting.  The committee will also meet on June 27th at 9:00 a.m. at OTES to finalize plans for the Academy. On  Aug. 23 the committee will meet at 2:00 to evaluate the Technology Academy and to plan for future PD.

 

  1. Planning for Professional Development for 2007-2008- Initial professional development in the 2007-2008 school year will focus on the use of Web 2 School and the new email system.  Additional staff development will be planned to help staff meet the Level I Technology Standards.

 

  1. Other Issues/Concerns

 

v      The Committee will begin the development of the K-12 Curriculum next year.

v       The meeting calendar for 2007-2008 is listed below.  All meetings will be held at OTES from 2:45-3:45*.
