Principal's Message

Welcome to the J. A. Leonard Middle School Web Site. Our school serves approximately 330 students in grades six through eight from the communities of Alton, Bradley, and Old Town.

We are organized by interdisciplinary teams for the academic core subjects. Each grade level team of teachers  is responsible for the instruction of the four core subjects - Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts. We also have an extensive Unified Arts program which includes Music, Physical Education, Health, Foreign Language, Art, Family and Consumer Science, Career Prep, Library and Research Skills and an extensive library with internet accessibility. LMS is also very proud to provide rich co-curricular and extra-curricular experiences to meet the developmental needs of our students, including a very extensive After School Program.
