Level 1: IRRESPONSIBILTY


TYPES of LEVEL 1 VIOLATIONS (including but not limited to)

eating or drinking around equipment, forgetting equipment, not charging equipment, unattended laptop, laptop left home, carrying innappropriately, laptop in locker, carrying laptop in backpack, messing around with desktop, laptop in a no laptop zone, laptop left open, putting things on laptop, laptop not charged, and violation of any of these rules related to peripherals i.e. cameras, USB microscope, scanner, video cameras, calculators, etc.

Level 1 violations will be recorded on Pinnacle, and students will be issued teacher detentions.

**Issues of chronic irresponsibility will result in more severe consequences—including and not limited to an office referral.

 

Level 2: INTENTIONAL OR UNINTENTIONAL MISUSE OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

TYPES of LEVEL 2 VIOLATIONS (including but not limited to)


misuse of e-mail, recording without permission, accessing unauthorized nternet sites, using camera innapropriately, touching screen, jamming things into computer, giving out passwords, downloading or burning without permission or illegally, having more than 20 songs or photos on laptop or linnux desktop, instant messaging, using non school email accounts..

Level 2 violations will be recorded on Pinnacle. The student receive an office referral and may also lose access to the specific software/hardware (on which the violation occurred) for a period of time.

 

Level 3: INTENTIONAL DAMAGE (or actions meant to damage) TO SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, or NETWORK

TYPES of LEVEL 3 VIOLATIONS (included but not limited to)

SPAMMING, VANDALISM, MESSING WITH ANOTHER PERSON'S LAPTOP OR DESKTOP, USING ANOTHER PERSON'S PASSWORDS, USING TECHNOLOGY TO BULLY OR HARASS, THROWING OR SLAMMING LAPTOP, BANGING ON KEYBOARD, PRYING OPEN, DISASSMBLING, AND/OR ANY MALICIOUS ACT INVOLVING TECHNOLOGY.

Level 3 violations will be recorded on Pinnacle. The office will discipline the student; and, technology use may be suspended until a date to be determined by administration.

LEVEL 3 VIOLATIONS ARE VERY SERIOUS AND CARRY WITH THEM PROBABLE SUSPENSION FROM SCHOOL AND REMOVAL OF TECHNOLOGY PRIVILEDGES.

THE STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO COMPUTER, UNLESS THEY CAN PROVE THEY WERE NOT INVOLVED.
