Congratulations to the Old Town High School Jazz Ensemble for finishing in first place in Division 2 at the State Jazz Festival held this past weekend in Millinocket at Stearns High School. The Jazz Ensemble received the highest score during the day beating 12 bands and competed in the night finals winning over MDI and Cape Elizabeth. Outstanding solo trophies were awarded to, Maggie Campbell on Alto Saxophone, Erin Burns on Trombone, and Mike Nickerson on Lead Trumpet. The last time the Jazz Ensemble was State Champions was in 2005.

Congratulations to the Old Town High School Jazz Combo 2 for finishing 3rd in the Multiple Combo Division. Outstanding Solo Musician Trophy went to Cody Miller on tenor saxophone. Also, congratulations to the Old Town High School Jazz Band for finishing 2nd in the Multiple Jazz Band Division. Outstanding Solo Trophy went to Victoria Glaser on piano and flute.
