LIBRARY COMPUTER RULES

 

    1. Internet 

During the school day, students may use the Internet for academic reasons only, such as researching for a class project or report.  If a student needs to use the Internet for any other reason, please ask permission.   After school, students use the Internet freely as long as the topics they are searching are within good taste and school rules.

 

    2. Printing 

Please ask permission before printing from the Internet, World Book or Encarta …. Paper and toner cost money; let’s try not to waste them.

    3. Games

      

As students have heard before…school is neither the time nor the place for games

 

    4. Changing the Computer Setup

The computers are set up as they are for a reason.  Please do not change screensavers, backgrounds, desktop labels, etc. or any inter-working of the program setup.  Don’t inconvenience everyone because of your technology mistake!

 

 

CONSEQUENCES

Any student found violating any of the above rules is subject to lose his or her library computer privileges for up to two weeks or until the end of the school year.
